Emery Prize 2020

We are delighted to announce the return of the Emery Prize this year, albeit in a slightly different format.

We invite all Ruskin School of Art BFA and MFA Finalists to apply.

The winner of the Emery Prize 2020 will receive:

  • A solo-exhibition presented by the Pembroke Art Gallery – this may be a physical or digital exhibition

  • Support, advise and mentoring sessions from the Curator to curate the exhibition

  • £300 cash prize

The prize-winner will be selected from the Ruskin BFA and MFA finalists. The judging panel, comprised of the Pembroke College JCR Art Collection Committee, will make their decision based on the work which is submitted as part of their finals examination only. The Emery Prize application will be digital this year, due to the situation with Covid-19, and finalists are asked to apply by submitting selected work from their Finals Portfolio, plus a supporting artists' statement. In the case of difficulty selecting a winner from the digital applications the Committee may invite shortlisted artists for a short interview.

The winner will be announced in late July 2020.
