"I was inspired by Alexis Franklin's artworks. Contrasting the complexity of detailed faces with plain but vibrantly coloured backgrounds, she stresses emotions and certain facets of her model's personality. Using this mix of expressionism and realism, she makes the audience see how she perceives the people she paints."
Svenja is currently doing an Msc in Neuroscience.
